It’s the cleanser that does all of what you want and none of what you don’t: Nourishing Postbiotic Cleanser removes makeup, dirt and other pollutants without clogging pores or making your skin feel dry. It nourishes and balances, making it a great choice in all seasons.

Formulated with AllWell Beauty's proprietary, upcycled, antioxidant-rich Acer Rubrum Extract (Red Maple), and along with other upcycled ingredients: sugar cane bagasse/corn cobs (pentylene glycol), rose petals, peppermint leaves, banana trunk and leaves and fermented barley grains.

Cleansing

The microparticles in the upcycled Rejuvenating Particle (Acer Rubrum Extract) help to cleanse the skin by absorbing excess oil and physically removing dirt, impurities, and makeup. Upcycled from FSC®-certified red maple from sustainable forests in upstate New York using our patented Plantrose® technology.

Upcycled Barley Ferment

Hydrating

A postbiotic ingredient that is 3x more hydrating than glycerin and rich in polyphenols, sugars and minerals. Made from malted and fermented barley grains, left over from gin distilleries.

Konjac

Softening

Made from the fibrous root of the konjac plant and rich in hydrating glucomannan, this ingredient softens the skin, helping the face look and feel nourished and moisturized.

Amino Acids Surfactants

Conditioning

Sodium cocoyl alaninate and sodium cocoyl apple amino acids are highly efficient cleansing agents that also happen to be gentle on the skin and eyes. These surfactants work like an invisible net that keeps moisturizing ingredients from rinsing away.

Glycerin

Moisturizing

Moisture-drawing glycerin hydrates and softens the skin. A great help to dry skin, it also helps prevent future dryness.

Damask Rose Water

It smells wonderful but rose water also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, which help protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals, soothe and can reduce the look of redness. Our rose water is upcycled from material from essential oil distilleries.

What skin type is the cleanser designed for?

Nourishing Postbiotic Cleanser can be used on all skin types! Dermatologist testing confirms that it non-comedogenic, which means it will not clog pores and users are not likely to develop acne, blemishes or blackheads due to using this product.
I use a product that contains retinol on a regular basis. Can I safely add this cleanser to my skincare regimen?

Our Nourishing Postbiotic Cleanser is likely a suitable swap for any cleanser you are currently using! Please note, however, that it has not been tested for use with retinol, so we recommend conducting a patch test on your inner arm first, washing a small area of skin, patting it dry, then applying your retinol product. Repeat this process twice daily for a total of four applications. Stop the patch test if at any point your skin looks or feels irritated. If after 48 hours, there is no irritation, you can proceed to use the cleanser on your face. If you are using prescription retinols (such as tretinoin) please consult your doctor with any questions or concerns!
Will this cleanser be good for my skin, which tends to be dry?

Nourishing Postbiotic Cleanser uses gentle surfactants and ingredients that have been clinically proven to boost skin hydration and prevent post-wash dryness. In our clinical study, 93% of participants said their skin felt less dry after using Nourishing Postbiotic Cleanser twice daily for four weeks.
If I use this cleanser, will I still need a separate eye makeup remover product?

Nourishing Postbiotic Cleanser is clinically proven to efficiently remove up to 99.9% of makeup with one wash. However, if you wear waterproof and/or long-wear makeup, you may need to use an additional cleansing product.
What is a postbiotic?

Postbiotics are the byproduct of good bacteria (probiotics) consuming complex carbohydrates (prebiotics). According to Harvard Medical School, “Healthy postbiotics include nutrients such as vitamins B and K, amino acids, and substances called antimicrobial peptides that help to slow down the growth of harmful bacteria. Other postbiotic substances called short-chain fatty acids help healthy bacteria flourish.“ We can increase the amount of postbiotics produced by the gut by eating fermented foods like kefir, tempeh and kimchi. Postbiotics can also be produced to be used supplementally. In the case of our Nourishing Postbiotic Cleanser, malted and fermented barley grains that had been used to make gin become an ingredient that is 3x more hydrating than glycerin and rich in polyphenols, sugars and minerals.
Can I use this cleanser on the same day as AllWell Beauty’s Botanical Radiance Mask?

Yes! This gentle, safe cleanser is perfect for use before the mask. Start your routine by cleansing the skin and patting it dry. Apply the mask evenly. When the mask is totally dry (about 20 minutes later), remove it with your hands and, if you like, water. If any residue clings to your skin or hairline, use a little of the cleanser to help it rinse clean. Then, follow with the rest of your skincare routine—serum, eye cream, moisturizer. etc.
